【Android】Android 13 is now supported!

Hello! I'm Ikegami from the SNS Pirika development team.

With the warm spring weather, it's easy to doze off during work, isn't it? Why not try refreshing yourself with picking up litter!

Now, we have an announcement regarding new features on the Android of Pirika. We've added and improved three functions that are available on Android 13, so please check them out and give them a try if you're using an Android 13 smartphone.

Themed app icons

Starting with Android13, you can opt in to themed app icons where the color of the icons automatically changes based on the color of the wallpaper set. (Please note that this function may not be available on certain home screen apps).

By turning on this setting from the home screen, Pirika's icon will be displayed in monochrome, corresponding to the color of the wallpaper. This allows for a different feel when using Pirika, so please give it a try with your favorite wallpaper 🎨

Setting: Long press on the home screen > Wallpaper & style > Turn on Themed icons

Per-app language preferences

In Android 13, you can now set the language for each app separately from the system language settings. For example, if you are using Pirika abroad with your device set to English, you can set only Pirika to Japanese 🇯🇵  This feature is especially useful for multilingual users, so please take advantage of it!

Setting: Long press Pirika app icon on the home screen > App info > Launguage

※ Currently, Pirika supports Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Thai, and Spanish.

Notification runtime permission

We have made changes so that notifications(for thanks for posts, comments and so on) will only be displayed with your permission. (Since Android 13, notifications will not be displayed without your permission.) When installing Pirika on Android 13, a dialog will ask whether to allow notification.

To receive notifications, please press "Allow" on the dialog.

If you do not wish to receive them, please press "Don't allow".

You can change these settings below anytime.

How to update App

If you have not set up or turn off automatic updates, please follow the steps below to update your application.

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. At the top right, tap the profile icon.
3. Tap Manage apps & device. Apps with an update available are labeled "Update available."
4. Tap Update.
